Celtic Tatting is an innovative technique now a day. There are 2 styles. The "traditional" is when you interweave several parts to become one and the "real" celtic that is made in one round and interweaved as it's done. The first was developed by Elgiva Nichols and Rosemarie Peel and the 2nd has been developed by Ruth Perry. Now a day you can find several patterns online and a few books, including one by me.
This motif is my favorite one. It's my design and it's on the book Celtic with a Twist. It's made with long picots that are later beaded and interweaved and joined.
