for everyone

This is the other pattern discussed last night.  It's a celtic edging.  I love this one!!!!  It looks like first you make the white and then 2 braids and interweave it and put it in the center.  But the thing is that is all made in one pass.  It uses 4 shuttles; 2 with white thread and 2 shuttles each with one color.  I used a Baby Powder Blue with a mute Green.  I made it into a bookmark so the ends I made a weird braid.

I tried to make a close up of the braid but it's too blurry.  I'll try to take another shot when it's day tomorrow.

The pattern is also by Ruth and can be found here.

I think I have that pattern, maybe as I now have a few books on it. I just love the looks of Celtic tatting even though I always pronounce it wrong. I'll get it right yet.

The pattern is online and it's on the Tatting Calendar. Try to print it or save it now 'cause when she puts another this one will be on the archives. It takes some patiences to remember the way you're turning the chains. But the pattern is just rings and chains, where the chains get turned twice to make the Celtic look.
