The Native American name is interesting.... I was looking for the origin the "Waleska", which is my real name. For years I got the meaning that Waleska comes from Polish or German roots meaning "New Beginning". A couple of months ago I was looking for this and I couldn't find it. But I found that the Waleska city in Georgia (yep, there's a lovely small town call Waleska in GA) comes from the Cherokee name of the chief's daughter Warluskee. I have been trying to get the Cherokee meaning of Warluskee but I haven't find it. At least not for free. *sight* I like the Cherokee version. May be some day if I have a baby girl I can name it Warluskee.
