This rose starts with a center ring using the thread that will be the padding. Make a ring of 2 - 2 - 2 - 2 - 2 - 2 - 2 - 2 - 2 - 2 - 2 - 2. Close the ring and make a mock picot. Add the 2 threads #80 to the mock picot.
CH: 3 - 3 - 3 - 3. Skip one picot and join to the next. Repeat around, joining the last chain to the base of the 1st chain. Don't cut.
CH: 3 - 3 - 3.
With 2nd color make a ring of 3 - 3 - 3 - 3 - 3 - 3.
CH: 3 - 3 - 3.
Repeat around. Don't cut.
CH: 3 - 3 - 3 - 3.
With 2nd color make a ring of 5 + (to 2nd picot of color ring) 5.
CH: 3 - 3 - 3 - 3 - 3.
With 2nd color make a ring of 5 + (to 4th picot of color ring) 5.
CH: 3 - 3 - 3 - 3.
Repeat around. Cut and hide ends.
