Materials:

Thread #80 in 2 colors
Thread #10 or #5
3 Shuttles

This rose starts with a center ring using thread #80. Make a ring of 2 - 2 - 2 - 2 - 2. Close the ring and make a mock picot. Add the 2nd thread #80 and the padding thread to the mock picot.

CH: 3 - 3. Join to the next picot. Repeat around, joining the last chain to the base of the 1st chain. Don't cut.

CH: 3 - 3 - 3 - 3. Join between chains. Repeat around, joining the last chain to the base of the 1st chain. Don't cut.


CH: 3 - 3 - 3 - 3 - 3 - 3. Join between chains. Repeat around, joining the last chain to the base of the 1st chain. Don't cut.


CH: 3 - 3 - 3 - 3.
With 2nd color make a ring of 3 - 3 - 3 - 3 - 3 - 3.
CH: 3 - 3 - 3 - 3. Join between chains
Repeat around. Don't cut.

CH: 3 - 3 - 3 - 3 - 3 - 3.
With 2nd color make a ring of 3 - 3 + (to 2nd picot of color ring) 3 - 3.
CH: 3 - 3 - 3 - 3 - 3 - 3 - 3.
With 2nd color make a ring of 3 - 3 + (to 4th picot of color ring) 3 - 3.
CH: 3 - 3 - 3 - 3 - 3 - 3. Join between chains.
Repeat around. Cut and hide ends.

Join from the back to the middle picot on the chain with 5 picots.
CH: 3 - 3 - 3 - 3 - 3.
With 2nd color make a ring of 3 - 3 - 3 - 3 - 3 - 3.
CH: 3 - 3 - 3 - 3 - 3. Join between chains
Repeat around. Don't cut.

CH: 3 - 3 - 3 - 3 - 3 - 3 - 3.
With 2nd color make a ring of 4 - 4 + (to 2nd picot of color ring) 4 - 4.
CH: 3 - 3 - 3 - 3 - 3 - 3 - 3 - 3.
With 2nd color make a ring of 4 - 4 + (to 4th picot of color ring) 4 - 4.
CH: 3 - 3 - 3 - 3 - 3 - 3 - 3. Join between chains.
Repeat around. Cut and hide ends.

Wow!!!! Your tatting is beautiful!!! It's not something I do, but I have a friend who does it. I especially like the fairy you made. Was she tatted???
