Coming Out
I've been depress for so long
That everything around me
Is dark and bleary.
Not a hint of color around.
But today something changed
Just a spot of light.
Small, but strong and bright
Changing my sight.
Could this be a sign
Of better days coming?
Of my world changing
to a one more welcoming?
A scream is building inside
My heart wants to shout:
"No more dark days
I'm coming out!"
I just joined a group called Writer's Block and This is the 1st challenge I do. My forte is not the poetry and more less in English. But I try.

 | I do hope too your dark days are passed! I know what they feel like as well. No fun at all, but just keeping telling yourself "This will pass" and it does. I have to do that and it helps me through it!

 | My sister-in-law is a writer, published her first book about 10 years ago. She writes childrens books, using everyday life and things her kids have done, or something she experienced in the classroom as her inspiration.
I've never gotten into the thread, best I don't...you see the large yarn stash I have. If I start with a new anything I won't be able to dimish the yarn stash. Looks like a yarn store here.

As for the poem it self mashaAllah it is good. Poetry though it may be hard can bring out the inner self in your writing like no other kind of writing can. |
