Time Travel . . . judging by the number of television series, movies, books created on the subject, each providing it's own twist on the subject, it is a fascination that has captured the imagination of people in all walks of life through the ages.
This week's Friday Five questions pose various scenarios within the theme of "Time Travel" . . . elaborate or not as much as you like.
1. You can go back and change an event in history . . . What would the historial event be, what would you change and what outcome would your actions have? I don't know if I'll change the history of the world but I would like to change something in my personal history. A beautiful friendship was ruined by a man that got between my best friend and me. If I could go back to that time I would have just not pay attention too much to this guy, warn my best friend about him and tell her that I love her no matter what. *sigh* I really miss her but I lost contact with her like for 12 years now and haven't found her online.
2. You can go back in time, but you can't change anything . . . where would you go? I would like to go to 600 AD near Mecca, Saudi Arabia and listen to the prophet Mohammed (PBUH) and talk with his wives and all that. I think it would be easier then for me to understand some things.
3. You can visit the future, but you can't change anything . . . where would you go? Future? I'm not even sure what will happen tomorrow with me! lol But if there's a possibility that in the future will be a cure for Lupus I'll travel to that future and get me cured.
4. Who is the one famous person you would go back in time to visit? I would like to go and meet Mdlle. Eleonor Riego de la Brachandiere. She was a great lacemaker and one of the 1st in publish Tatting books. I would like to know from where she got those ideas and patterns. I would love to live in that time (receiving my actual pension ) and live a rather lavish live and dedicate all my time for the laces like she did!
5. You can be any person, past or present, famous or not . . . who is it and why? I think I would still be me. I have learn that I have had an interesting life. May be a little too painful physically, but I won't change for nothing the opportunities I have had like traveling and living in different countries, meeting wonderful friends and learning so many things. May be I'll change some things and avoid some problems if I can turn back time, but definitively I would be me.
If you would like to participate in the Friday 5:
Copy the questions and post your answers to your blog,
I loved your number 4. I'd love to sit with a Norwegian Hardanger stitcher and admire her work, her stitches, and her stitching company. So many people don't understand the workmanship and the beauty of needlework. It would just be a delight.
