This week's theme is PRIZED POSSESSIONS . . . the "stuff/things" that are very important to you in bringing you smiles, happiness and pleasure in your life . . . not necessarily necessities . . .

The theoretical question . . . Your place of residence is on fire, you can safely take and save five things (not counting living things like family, pets, just STUFF) . . . what are these things? If you care to elaborate, why are they so important to you?

1. My shuttles!!! Tatting is my passion and I have a pretty decent collection of them. A couple of years ago I lost EVERYTHING and a group of friends recued my shuttles on E-Bay. Thanks to them I have my babies back and I'll never loose them again!

2. I guess I'll save also my DVDs. I have them all neatly in binders, so they're easy to carry. Not only I have the Matrix, but a Stephen King collection of movies, Harry Potter, Lord of the Ring and like 100 other titles.

3. My walker. Without it I can't walk fast and anyway it will help me to carry my treasures! lol

4. My bobbin lace pillow. I lost the pillow with which I learned bobbin lace and this one was a gift from a family of a woman that die and all her lace stuff was "abandoned" in a closet. My BIL told the widower about me been a lacer and he gift me her pillow, which is over 40 years old! So now this is my pillow and a treasure!

5. My 'puter will be the last thing I'll take with me that is precious! In there I have practically all my life: friends, works, documents, music, videos, etc, etc... This is my link to the outside world, my way of communicating with my family and meeting so many wonderful friends.

As you can see all I treasure now (that is material) I can easily carry it with me in a case of emergency. I've been living a gypsy-style life for the last 5-6 years so I know how to pack when is time to run. lol

Was just having a second look. I love your walker. My children joke about me having 2 speeds, slow and slower. Think I would much prefer this to a cane.

I love the pictures with everything you listed. Sounds t o me like you have some pretty good people in your life who are very thoughtful :O) I cracked up when I read the walker and that it'll help you move faster! Now I have to say that answer was the most unexpected and the first time I heard it for FF! I like the DVD collection too, I've never seen them come with that. Thanks for opening this ... so glad I came over to read it!!! Thank you!

WoW Wally! I don't know why or how you lost your shuttles, but sure glad you got them back. I know how hard it is just to get shuttles! I'll be a year come May, and only manage 5 total so far. That is really a neat blessing on the lace pillow! I like your walker too! Looks like it will hold a lot of treasures for you! The computer,,yeppers a must! I dream of having a laptop, so I too can carry my friends and treasures with me more easily! Thank you for opening up so much of your life to share with us! I am so glad you are being so blessed!!! I never did get around to answering this. It has been on my mind though and so far can only come up with 3 things. My computer, sewing machines and school books( children's ones that is, we have almost every book from grade one to 10 and a few higher) Oh and my crochet patterns they would be so hard to replace. Yayyyy I have my 5 I would have to take my bed, it is a Craftmatic one that uses a remote to adjust either the feet or head up and down and has a massage option. Speaking of which I'm heading to bed it is so comfortable in there. Good Night
