Blog EntrySmall Tatted DoilyJan 15, '08 10:46 AM
for everyone

Yesterday I started this small doily from Jan Stawasz.  It's almost 6 inches from the long chain to the other side.  I used Altin Basak #10 in a variegated pink color.  The color is a little darker than what is shown on the photo.  I'm making another one exactly the same and will finish it this night.  Then I want to make another a little bigger that compliments these 2 and make a trio.

On a personal note.  I'm not doing very well from the asthma.  Yesterday I started using theophylline to help with the nebulizer therapies.  The inhaler is not working more than 2 hours.  I have been in bed all day for 3 days now.  Hubby came after school and made dinner and went to finish a plaster work he's doing.  I feel sleepy and it's only 6 pm.  I think I'll take a nap until next therapy and then watch some movies.  I'm so tire I can't do nothing...  At least tatting is keeping me company.

See ya later if I have the energy.

Yes, you do tat fast! My mind is still working on what I want to do next. I have one item finished, almost, for the 24 Tatting Challenge accept for hiding the end threads.
I am baby sitting tonight and will bring my next one to work on then. My back
is bothering me really bad today, so along with you and your asthma (sorry to
hear about that), I to am not in good shape today. I have to wait until June to
have the hardware removed which is what the Dr said is my problem, I am not
accepting it in my body. Oh well, I can still tat! Have a good day now....

This is very beautiful. Mum always had such lovely doily's that she did as a young girl. I have only just started making some for myself again. I usually stop to do things for others but when it comes to my collection it is virtually non existent.

I am not really a pink person but that is absolutely beautiful

Pink is not my color either. I got this thread to make some doilies for a friend. I have made like 5-6 projects and the thread doesn't want to finish! lol

I agree! Though I myself am tired of pinks (seems like that is what is most available for me), this is really really pretty!

Although I am not a pink color person either, being variegated like that has sure softened
it a lot. Looks good! (As always!)
