This week's theme is SOMETHING MORE . . . there are things and events in life that make such an impact and difference in the quality of our lives or enriching and fulfilling us as in a dream job or a special gift of little monetary value rich in sentiment . . . something more that was missing before.
Elaborate as much or as little as you want!
1. My "something more" as a child . . . could be a special toy, a gift, a pet, a person, an event or whatever . . . I think my 1st pen pal: Lori McLaughing. I started pen paling when I was 8. Got inspired from a program called "The Big Blue Marble" and with the help of my English teacher I learned to write in English to my new friend. She was from PA and we kept in touch for years until we graduated from High School. Then we lost contact as she enter to college. But that 1st letter changed my perspective of life, showing that there's more than just what was around me.
2. My "something more" as a teenager . . . a moment, a friend, a teacher, an event, a special piece of jewelry or whatever . . . My 1st "puppy love". I was not allowed to date and in fact my 1st boyfriend happened when I was 25 y/o. But that 1st "puppy love" at 14 inspired a lot of things, specially, got me writting my 1st poems and short stories, which later in High School and University received some awards.
3. "Something more" from my school days . . . a teacher, a class, an event, an accomplishment, a person, or whatever . . . that made a huge difference . . . I think I have said this before, but just the fact that I was able to enter the University and specially University of PR (the most recognized in PR and not too easy to enter) was something that impact my life. Doctors never thought I was going to make it to my teens and here I was a young adult, studying to become a Nurse! Following the examples of those nurses that helped me so many times when I was sick.
4. My "something more" as an adult . . . Hmm... So many things as an adult. But may be the biggest "something more" is my husband. He is my teacher, my friend, my brother... So many things that I can't say or I'll spent all day writing. But he's definitively my something more as an adult.
5. My future "something more" . . . something dreamed about but not yet achieved, accomplished, purchased or experienced. I think that will be having children. I really want to experience it. To be able of having a little bundle of joy inside, moving around and then having she or he in your arms... That's the most wonderful thing. May be is because doctors say I can't, that's why I really want it to happen, so I can prove to them that they were wrong again.
