for everyone
This week in Picture Perfect the theme is Safe.  I haven't been out of the house too much due to a fall that hurt my left hip and knee and my right ankle.  I was just walking when I fall.  Why?  Because I didn't use what make safe for me to walk: my WALKER!  I'm suppose to use it all the time I go out to walk and even inside the house it helps me if I'm in too much pain.  But, I guess, pride and trying to look strong, I keep leaving it in a corner.  Tsk, tsk...  It's been 2 weeks of pain, labs and x-rays.  From now on I'll use the walker to move safely!!!

I am so sorry to hear about your fall, but from now on use the walker!!! I want to get one myself, but only for walking long distances, that is when my back and hip gives out on me. I hope you have a fast recovery....and now use it and don't worry about what you look like, it's how you feel that is more important. I think you ought to make yourself a tatted flower or something to put on it and then you will feel more at home using it! Have a quick recovery, please!

Ahhhh this brings memories flooding in to my mind and heart of my dear mother. Her last days at age 91 she was still walking around with the help of one of these, to keep her safe. Great take on the theme.

Hope you're better, soon. I had to use a walker for a while following double bunion surgery. I was happy to finally be able to give it up but I was sure glad I had it when I needed it.

I hope you get well soon. You should think of yourself and not bother with what others may think. They're not in your shoes (no pun intended).

So many times what we think other's perceptions are is not based on the reality at all. I'm glad you are going to be okay and using the walker in the future when you need it. I think you might be amazed at what people really are thinking and it wouldn't be even close to what you imagined.

I hope you feel better soon. I believe that, in using the walker, you are strong. There is more to strength than using your legs. Stay safe!
