for everyone

This is a pendant called Beaded Green Iris.  It's by Nina Libin, creator of the Beanile.  The pattern was discussed in tonight's class and will be discussed again tomorrow.  You can find the pattern here:  http://www.georgiaseitz.com/2006/nlibingreeniris.html  The pattern looks complicated but it's pretty easy with only 2 Split Rings that can even been substitute by regular rings.  Also it's a fast-to-tat pattern.  It took me like 1 hour to tat, not counting the time I spent beading the shuttles.

I used some glass beads that I bought a few months ago in Walmart.  It's a mix of brown/gold seed beads, "E" beads and bugles.  I used the seed beads only.  I love this mix!  The thread is some vintage Star #30 that Georgia sent me.  The thread tats crisp so the pendant doesn't need a lot of stiffening.

This one will go to a friend that I made in my sis' church.  She even gave me some beads today so I could tat with them.

Thanks to Nina Libin for such wonderful pattern!
