This is, I think, the most bizarre book I have ever read. But at the same time I like it. I have read numerous versions, seen countless movies and cartoons, and even enjoyed so much the Disney's TV show. Today I found this version on Veoh. Hope you can see it. If the movie "desapear" later I'll upload it again.
Goody, goody... Hubby came from work for a few minutes to bring me something from the post office. After nagging about why they always have to open everything that arrives from USA, I re-open the envelope and there they were. The CD with the patterns of this year Tatting Event and the DVD of Tatting Hands. This makes my whole day!!!
I couldn't wait too long and reviewed all the patterns in a few minutes. So many beautiful things to make. It's all "oh" and "ah". There are like 20+ patterns and notes from great tatters/designers/teachers. The patterns are PDF, so it's easy to read and print.
Now I really need to finish the doily I'm making so I can start with the patterns. There are a few 3-D patterns for mini vases, pots and planters and also mini flowers. I know they'll look so cute!!! Have tons of colors to make all the pretties.
I haven't seen the DVD yet but will do it later tonight when there's nothing good on TV. Right now I MUST kick myself out of bed and work on the translations I didn't work yesterday. The electricity went off like for 3 hours and I fall asleep like 5-6 hrs.
I woke very early this morning. Well, actually woke up at 3 am after a few hours of sleep. Then woke up hubby and had breakfast together. Meanwhile I was translating the lessons for tonight and making a web site for my sister Letty's radio program. Now I'm super tire... Have been watching some cats videos. I miss my cat so much!!! Anyway, enjoy the videos.
What? A talking Cat?
This poor kitty went to the vet and is still under the effect of the anesthesia. But he looks so funny. Poor thing!
Yeah! It's my box and nobody will touch it! lol
We started with a talking cat and will finish with TWO talking cats. This is a golden opportunity for some funny captions. What you think these two are talking about?
I'm a fan of Stephen King and today while browsing IGN I found this trailer. Oh boy! I hope this comes out soon! It looks great! There was a couple of years ago another movie by Stephen King that was in the making called "Desperation" but I never saw it out. Does anyone knows about this movie? I read the book and it left me in 'desperation' to know the end! lol
I spent most of the day watching the CSI marathon on Spike TV. I saw some repeated others new to me. I like this serie a lot but I keep forgeting when and in which channel is showing the new episodes, so when there's a marathon I take the opportunnity to watch it.
I think that one of my favorite episode is the one about the "Chimera" rapist. I have been fascinated by this genetical aberration of "Chimerism". Not too long ago I saw in Discovery channel a program about it. REALLY interesting.
Other episode I saw was the season finale of 2005 (?), where "Nicki" is buried alive. OMG!!! I was in so much tension that I was clenching my jaw! I almost even change the channel when I saw the part of the fire ants bitting him. Ants is one of my phobias and just thinking about it gives me chills and itching, specially in the head. I know... I'm just all screw up! LOL
I wanted to study Forensic Medicine but when I researched it was 12 years of study! Man, who can study that long to then try to get some work trying to put back corpses? Hello?! Me!!! But unfurtunately the schoolarship lasted 5 years and my dad was NOT going to help me to study something more than the 5 years. So I studied 1st Emergency Medicine and then Nursing. Finishing exactly the 5 years of schoolarship. May be because I couldn't study Forensic Medicine that;s why I love too much CSI and New Detectives (on Discovery). I find so interesting how you can get a complete visual of the death of a person using clues left in the corpse and/or the sorroundings.
I love the 1st one but this one is the best! I love animated and computerized animation movies. I would love to make a collection of animated movies...
The movie basically has the same characters from the 1st movie plus a few new ones. I have to confess that while the whole movie was good I just wanted to see it because of Scrat (the squirel) and it's tireless quest for the acorn! This squirel is purely nuts! *pun intended* Geesh! It received tons of bumps, scratchs and turture just because wants to reach the ultimate acorn! I think Scrat could be a good example and inspiration for us when we have dreams that we see impossible to reach. But I'm not a spolier and won't tell ya what happend. Did he got it or not?
I can't tell you a lot about the voices because I saw it doubbed in Spanish. I wanted to see it in English 'cause I'm a fan of Queen Latifah, John Leguizamo and Ray Romano. May be next time. I WILL buy the DVD as soon as it hits the shops.
I really recommend this picture to enjoy with all the family or just alone. You'll laugh tons!
It's been awhile since the last time I went out with my sister Letty and her husband and Mom. Last night we went to the movies. But we arrived almost an hour before the movie start, so not to said that we REALLY arrived late for the movie. LOL So to kill time until the show we entered to the Time Out Arcade in the lobby of the theater. It was fun!
Letty and mom played a couple of rounds of "Stomping Spiders". I say is the "lame" version of the Dancing machine. It's basically the same as a dancing machine but instead you stomp spiders on the floor. The reached up to the 2nd round. I din't play. I've been with the asthma and since 2 days ago I have pain in my hips. But I managed to spend $5.00 in some games and this picture. We love to make funny pics. This one I call it : "The Sosa-Orozco Bandits". If you see any of us please report to the nearest library or Craft Shop.
In Summary... It was a fun night. What we saw? Ice Age 2, but that's another blog entry.
I got this movie today. I wanted the book for awhile but I haven't bought it yet. When I went to Borders the other day they only had left the Spanish version and I want it in English. *sigh*
So, this afternon mom and I sat to watch it. I found it really really good. I'm not a person that likes a lot the "smoochy" movies but this one has a nice balance of romance and drama. I have always been interesting in the Geisha culture. I think that if I was born in China I would have become a Geisha by my own will. It's not about the "sex" part that is attributed to this proffesion, but rather the art. The costumes, the makeup, all the general knowledge that they learn... I really wish I could be as beautiful as one of them!
This is a sweet collection I got last week. I haven't seen it all. Only the Animatrix disc. But I have my plans to make a Matrix Marathon tomorrow! The collection comes with 10 discs. The 3 original movies, 3 "Revisited" versions, The Animatrix, The Roots of the Matrix, The Burly Man Chronicles and the Zion Archive. Also has a resin bust of Neo and a booklet of 80 pages with original art and some other stuff. Geesh! I think NOW I'll get totally disconnected from this reality! LOL From the 3 movies I think the 2nd one has the best special effects. Who can deny that the twins chase thru the highway is a kicking ass sequence!? Also the fight between Neo and the multiplying agent (sorry I forgot his name, having a bad memory day...) is also a good fight sequence. Will I take the Red or the Blue one tomorrow?
Yesterday I went to a generalist dr so I can have some blood labs and prescriptions and after that mom and I went to some shops and I arrived home so tire that I even couldn't turn on the pc and read at least the e-mails. I think the heat is making me very tire...
I'm in the same mood today so I won't be online for a long time. I think I need some extra spoons today. *sigh*
I'll just try to behave and when mom arrives will tell her to get some chinese food and watch Harry Potter 4 together. Ah... Can't forget the ice cream! Chocolate Maui Madness from Baskin Robins!!! Yummie. I'm drooling now. lol
